Hurricane Ida knocks out power to more than 1 million as system moves inland

Hurricane Ida took 16 hours to drop back to a tropical storm after its Sunday landfall as a Category 4 hurricane with 150 mph winds knocking out power to all of New Orleans among more than a million people across the region.
